It's December and the pressure is on to socialise, eat, be merry, work and workout! It can be an exhausting time of year. However that doesn't need to be the case. #ChristmasFitness
December can be a month of saying YES to what you can and want to do and a month of saying NO to things you don't want to do or don't have the time to.
As we return to some sort of normality this Christmas it can seem quite overwhelming trying to fit it all in. But the most important thing is to make sure you carve out time TURKEY-KEEP for yourself!
Ideas for taking time for yourself this December:
- Yoga just 5 - 20 minutes in the morning which allows time for your mind and body.
- Walking. With evenings becoming darker earlier it's a little trickier to find motivation, try and get out in the morning or afternoon and enjoy some fresh, crisp air.
- Sleeping Plays a huge role in your physical health. For example, sleep is involved in healing and repair of your heart and blood vessels. Ongoing sleep deficiency is linked to an increased risk of health issues.
- Baking Bake something yummy either nutritious or naughty! Allows you to zone out and enjoy an activity. It's almost a meditation.
Online Yoga classes have become very popular and are a great way to fit a little bit fo zen into your day. Check out my online classes for more information.
